Autonomous Mobile Robot Projects for Industrial Clients
Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) Design
In this project, my team and I were tasked with creating multiple types of heavy duty AMRs. My role in the project was to design one of the AMRs in the product fleet, to make the product renders and General Arrangement (GA) drawings to be submitted to the customer. I also worked on creating design guidelines to standardise AMR subsystem design for the mechanical design team. I mostly use Solidworks, Solidworks Simulation, and Keyshot to accomplish the tasks in the project.
Tackling Covid-19
Covid-19 has undoubtedly affected all of us on both a individual and collective level. Building this UV disinfection AMR in the span of a couple of weeks is one of the small ways I can try to help tackle this pandemic. Read more about the rollout of this robot here.
Product Rendering and Marketing
One of my roles as a product designer is to create product still image and animation renders. Some of this work is used in product proposals for clients and also in marketing content such as brochures and videos. One major marketing event I helped organise and create content for was Industrial Transformation Asia-Pacific (iTAP) 2019. It was my first time organising a large scale event and coordinating with over 20 people to pull it off.
RnD - New Product Development
Some new product development involves designing for a need you identify in the market as opposed to developing a product for a particular client/customer . To create a minimum viable product (MVP) and to work quickly, we have to employ rapid prototyping techniques and methods of fabrication. Once an MVP is made, we can then move on to the testing phase and subsequent design reiteration and improvement.
